Name:Saikou Yuura
Protagonist of the post-canon Zexalura AU.

After Don Thousand's defeat, the Barian God's unwilling host and bearer of the Emperor's Key, Tsukumo Yuuma, used the Numeron Code to rewrite the world, merging Earth, Astral, and Barian together and bringing all those who died during the Numbers War back to life. All except himself - Yuuma neither revived nor reincarnated as either of the two races. The key also was never seen again. If he had lived, the Wars would've never happened and the planet itself would still be inhabitable by humans.

Yuura's a soldier - her life and vision of the future are focused on her growth as a cadet and eventual integration into the Phanuel Air Defense Force when she turns 18. Despite her good relationship with her sister's deck, Yuura refuses to duel except as part of her training. She doesn't have friends, or hobbies, just constant progression of her goals, no matter how stressful, uncomfortable, or disturbing they are.

A chance encounter with a stranger changed that. The theft of the key led to a broken hand. A broken hand led to a new friendship. A new friendship led to an expedition to Heartland City Ruins. Heartland City Ruins led her to her attacker. Her attacker led her to a duel with an ancient AI program. The duel AI program nearly led to her defeat.

The stakes were too high. If she won, her attacker would give her back his half of the broken astral crest. If she lost, neither she, nor her new friend, would ever go home again. When the door she'd seen in her dreams appeared before her eyes, she didn't hesitate to unlock it.

Under-100 numbers didn't exist, yet the AI glitched and summoned one. Her attacker was thrown out of the building when he tried to shut it down. Yuura didn't fare much better by the end of its turn. She lay on the ground where she was flung, unmoving, until he spoke.

"Get up."
"... Hello? I said, get up."
"Oi! I know you can hear me! Get up!"

She opened her eyes to an Astral's grin.

"That's better," he said, and offered her his hand. "Let's win!"
